Rare Engagement Rings

Rare engagement rings have flooded the market in recent years, or have they? Are the rare engagement rings we are exposed to truly unique or have we become victims of engagement ring product placement and mass media manipulation? Suppose we accept the fact that all who advertise rare engagement rings actually have unique engagement ring designs in stock, but what exactly constitutes a rare engagement ring and how does one separate a truly rare engagement ring from a mainstream engagement ring in disguise? This issue of DT Era aims to present the facts relating to what we have observed with regard to rare engagement rings and how we approach the goal of verifying that a given engagement ring is in fact rare. To help illustrate our position, we will address three distinct categories of engagement rings, including black diamond engagement rings, Italian engagement rings and cheap engagement rings under 100 dollars.

In the context of rare engagement rings, black diamond engagement rings are already one step ahead of the game. To this day there are thousands of engagement ring stores that do not carry black diamond engagement rings, in part because black diamonds are still relatively rare. Although some experts consider the mere presence of a black diamond enough to classify an engagement ring as rare, we utilize a set of more stringent criteria. If a black diamond engagement ring exhibits design characteristics in close proximity to readily available engagement rings with clear diamonds, we automatically disqualify it as a rare engagement ring. In other words, mainstream solitaire black diamond engagement rings, three stone trilogy black diamond engagement rings and black diamond halo engagement rings are not classified as rare engagement rings. The designs shown above, on the other hand, do meet our criteria and are considered rare engagement rings by our standards.

Italian engagement rings are rare in some parts of the world just by virtue of their limited availability. One of the most fascinating aspects of Italian engagement rings is that they rarely conform to any mainstream engagement ring design standards. Isn’t that essentially the definition of rare engagement rings? There are occasional situations where an Italian engagement ring would resemble a standard solitaire engagement ring or three stone engagement ring, but this is an exception rather than the norm. Our observations suggest that approximately 80% of Italian engagement rings can be classified as rare engagement rings in the US. Interestingly enough, even solitaire engagement rings from Italy exhibit unique characteristics. Same applies to Italian three stone trilogy engagement rings and Italian halo engagement rings. If rare engagement rings are in your future, it may be wise to start with Italian engagement rings to cleanse your engagement ring pallet.

When discussing rare engagement rings, few people think to consider cheap engagement rings under 100 dollars. In fact, affordable engagement rings in general have a preconceived notion of banal designs and inert personalities. Contrary to common expectations, however, we encounter rare cheap engagement rings under $100 on a regular basis. A cheap engagement ring under $100 with a unique, vintage filigree on the shank? A cheap engagement ring under 100 dollars with a milgrain pattern on the shank? We have seen it all!

Having read this issue of DT Era, have your thoughts on rare engagement rings changed? Have your previous criteria for evaluating a rare engagement ring been challenged? If you are looking through rare engagement rings to find the perfect ring, it is our hope that this article will help guide you through your search. Always remember to set aside some time to properly filter through the different engagement ring styles, and if you hit a dead end, looking through some rare Italian engagement rings may help get you back on track.
